Short & Sweet Refund & Returns Policy

We want every bite to be a delight! This policy explains when refunds or replacements may be offered and how to request them. By placing an order with Short & Sweet, you agree to the terms below.

1. Overview


Our baked goods are made fresh and with care. Because they are perishable and often custom-made, returns are generally not possible. However, we’ll always make things right if there’s an issue that’s our responsibility.

2. When Refunds or Replacements Apply


Refunds or replacements are considered if:

• The item was damaged, defective, or incorrect upon delivery.
• You notify us within 24 hours of delivery.
• You provide clear photos of the issue and packaging.
Custom or personalised items (e.g., cakes with names, themed designs) are non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or incorrect.

3. Items Not Eligible for Refund


Unless required by law, we cannot refund or replace:
• Baked goods that have been opened, partially consumed, or improperly stored.
• Custom orders that match the approved design/specifications.
• Orders delayed or undelivered due to incorrect delivery details provided by the customer.
• Sale or promotional items, unless defective.

4. Refund Process


If your order qualifies:
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
• Please allow 5–7 business days for processing.
• Shipping/delivery fees are non-refundable unless we delivered the wrong item.

5. Replacements


Where possible, we’ll replace damaged or incorrect items:
• Contact us at orders@myshortandsweet.co.za within 24 hours.
• Include your order number and photos of the item and packaging.
• We’ll assess and arrange a replacement promptly.

6. Order Cancellations


Orders can only be cancelled before baking begins, usually within 24–48 hours of placing your order.
 Once baking starts, cancellations are not possible.

7. Delivery


• Please provide accurate delivery details. We cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by incorrect addresses.
• For any concerns, take photos upon delivery and contact us immediately.

8. Our Commitment


We take pride in our work! If your order doesn’t meet our quality standards, let us know within 24 hours so we can resolve it with a replacement or refund.

9. Consumer Rights


This policy does not limit your rights under applicable consumer protection laws. Remedies required by law will always be honoured.
